Based in Milan, Argentine designer Agustina Bottoni founded her studio in 2016 after completing a master's degree in product design at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti. Her work is defined by a balanced aesthetic and a contemporary approach to craftsmanship. Since 2018 she has developed her own collection of objects in collaboration with Italian artisans, and her work has been exhibited at Salone del Mobile, London Design Fair and Maison et Objet.
For El Espartano she created Trayecto — a collection hand-tufted in pure sheep's wool, where her hand-drawn lines give rise to soft shapes and undulating edges. The contrast between two pile heights, cut and bouclé, adds subtle depth and an intriguing trompe l'oeil effect. The collection was presented at Galerie Joseph during Paris Design Week 2025.
