Julio Le Parc is a master of kinetic art and a central figure of Latin American art. Renowned for his exploration of light, color and movement, he co-founded the Groupe de Recherche d'Art Visuel (GRAV) in Paris in 1960, promoting a new way of understanding the relationship between the spectator and the work through active, immersive experiences. His work, awarded at the 1966 Venice Biennale, marked a turning point in visual perception and in artistic research on instability, rhythm and participation.
Together with El Espartano Editor — the space from which the company transfers the creative universe of renowned artists to the textile language — Le Parc is developing a series of limited edition carpets, to be released soon.
