Established in 1942 in Buenos Aires, El Espartano is a leading rug and carpet designer and manufacturer. Founded by a Greek family with deep roots in rug manufacturing, we have a commitment to quality and innovation. Historically focused on residential rugs and carpets, in the past four decades we successfully entered the contract projects and synthetic turf markets.
We focus on natural fibers, in particular locally-sourced wool. The complete manufacturing cycle is managed in house, from spinning and dyeing to weaving and backing. Our 30,000 square meter state-of-the-art manufacturing plant includes Wilton Jacquard, Axminster and Colorpoint production lines. This vertical integration enables us to maintain very high quality standards and optimize designed-to-finished product time.

Through our Design Lab, we partner with pre-eminent artists and designers on a wide range of collaborations.
