Artist

Coty Larguía

Coty Larguía is an Argentine designer and art director. Her abstract, geometric language — a recurring theme across her collections — draws on Art Deco and Brutalist architecture: dynamic shapes that merge and overlay each other, creating a three-dimensional effect that contrasts with the softness of the wool.

For El Espartano she designed Oblique, a collection of rugs hand-tufted in 100% pure virgin wool, conceived to match her previous collection for the house, Prisma. She also took part in Weaving Ways, the 2013 project that invited leading Argentine designers to translate their work into a limited edition of rugs.
