In 2013, with the support of D&D (Feria de Diseño y Decoración), El Espartano invited a group of leading Argentine designers, architects and interior designers to imagine a new limited edition of Alexa rugs — a project known as Tejiendo Tendencias, or Weaving Ways.

Ricardo Blanco, Martín Zanotti, Paula de Elía, Carlos Galli, Julio Oropel, Javier Iturrioz, Coty Larguía, Eugenia Troncoso and the duo José Luis Otiñano & Roxana Punta Álvarez each translated their own work onto the woven surface — a series of rugs hand-made in 100% virgin wool, where design and industry meet in a single weave and each piece becomes the carrier of a concept and a story.
