Cristián Mohaded is an Argentine industrial designer and artist born in Catamarca. A graduate of the National University of Córdoba, he lives and works between Buenos Aires and Milan. His practice spans furniture, lighting and object design, as well as installations, art direction and interior projects.
His work brings industry and craftsmanship into dialogue, reinterpreting the materials, techniques and knowledge of different regions of Argentina through a contemporary lens. His pieces are held in the collections of institutions including the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. In 2026, he was named Designer of the Year at the ELLE Deco International Design Awards.
His collaboration with El Espartano includes several projects and collections, among them Century, NET and Arco, exploring the graphic, material and structural possibilities of the rug.
