Javier Iturrioz

An architect, decorator and set designer, Javier Iturrioz has worked for international brands such as Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Cartier and Hermès, as well as leading Argentine houses. An expert in temporary environments, he became one of the interior designers favored by the Buenos Aires elite after Tribuna Plaza, the 2010 edition of Casa FOA.

As a decorator his passion is maximalism — he has no fear of extravagance. He adores the baroque and the styles of the fifties, and pays careful attention to every last detail. He does not believe that less is more, but that more is more.

“My rug is a tribute to David Hicks, one of the greatest representatives of twentieth-century interior design. My design draws inspiration from French gardens — modern geometry and a palette of greens, grays, blues and oranges characteristic of Hicks.”
