Martín Churba

Inspired by a series of photographs that textile designer Martín Churba took in his youth during a trip to Europe, the Inicios collection was born — a development that reflects his creativity through games of developing and mirroring images. It was the first time Churba experimented with the materiality of the rug loom: three-dimensional effects, neutral tones and accents of color transformed his photographic games into a collection that carries his unmistakable mark as a textile creator.

Created in collaboration with the El Espartano design team, Inicios presents three designs hand-tufted in 100% natural wool. The collection was recognized with the Sello de Buen Diseño 2021.
