Li Edelkoort's Garden

Presented at Galleria Rossana Orlandi during Milan Design Week, Garden is a collection curated by Lidewij Edelkoort and produced by El Espartano from the sketches of Brazilian artist Sergio Machado.

The exhibition includes nine rugs and a pouf, all woven in 100% wool. The pieces stand out for their diversity of colors and textures — some with a single height of cut pile, others combining three heights with cut and bouclé textures.

In translating these designs into textiles, the workshop preserved the organic style, free stroke and spontaneity of the artist's creative process, rooted in manual techniques such as watercolor and collage.
