The collection invites visitors to reflect on the interior as a place of shelter and intimacy. Conceived as a unified body of work by five designers, it brings together eleven limited-edition pieces that explore different interpretations of the room as a personal territory: Carole Baijings, Kiki van Eijk, Ina Meijer, Mariola López Mariño and Lidewij Edelkoort herself — the first time the curator has developed a rug in collaboration with a company.

The eleven pieces were developed in close collaboration between the designers and the El Espartano team, co-ordinated by Lili Tedde, Edelkoort's business partner in South America. Produced entirely in Argentina, the rugs were made in El Espartano's atelier, where design and production coexist within a single process — a vertical integration that translates conceptual proposals into pieces of high technical precision.

The project marks the company's third consecutive participation in Milan Design Week and deepens its ongoing relationship with Edelkoort, which began in 2017.
